hey everyone, ive run out of sites, who can offer me a deal on a set of front shocks ( loop to loop )(15.00" ext., 4.81" collapsed) with brackets for an 02 ranger..the deal is, i was unalbe to get the actual safety inspection checklist over here on this island, so , while I'm waiting for the truck to be delivered, i want to be proactive and get everything i need. thanks in advance for everyones help...Peace

You're never going to get a shock that compresses to under 5 inches that will travel 3 times its physical capabilities.

If you have a shock that is only 4.8" eye to eye, that leaves you with only about a 3.5" shock body. That 3.5" shock body can only hope to have about 3" of useable shaft. So a shock that colapses to 4.8" will end up with 3" of travel at best.

I think the 3" travel mountain bike shocks that I use are 4.5" eye to eye, compressed.

Hey man, don't think that I am trying to say you are stupid or something, we all have to learn somehow. I would have looked for the same thing 8 years ago. I subscribe to the -teach a man to fish and he eats every night, rather than -give a man a fish and he eats tonight...

...I looked up the 3" travel mountain bike shocks that I use and they only colapse to 6"...
