Anybody have any experiance installing these types of a/c compressors as engine driven compressors? I would like to know if there is a procedure to modify these compressors to stop consuming oil.I have done the procedure on the york compressors but I am putting this type on a truck for the first time and don't want the guy to burn his compressor up in a week. thanks...

I would imagine that if you dont use an oiler you would have to change the bearings to a sealed type. Never seen anybody run one without an oiler.

I have done some research and i know these comp's don't have a sump like the york, so i am thinkin that there is no way to keep the oil trapped in the comp. I am leaning to the fact that if this style of comp is used it must have an inline lubricator and a trap. Anybody have some thoughts?

I dont run an oiler on mine and ran it like that for 2 years. I just oil mine about once a week, works great. BTW its stock sanden on a 89 towncar. 200psi daily on 14 gallons. Works great. I oil it with pneumatic air tool oil.
