Should I trade? I need opinions.

To start off with, my whole family is a bunch of gear heads. I bought my mom's 2000 Dodge Dakota R/T off of her 2 years ago. I have been making payments straight to her so there is no interest. The truck is stock except for a tonneau cover and roll pan. It has a chip and cold air intake. It only has 55,00 miles on it. I have paid $5500 on it so far.
She also has a 1994 Mustang GT. It is practically a street driven race car at this point. Built motor with GT40 intake and heads, cam, pretty much everything but the crank. Rebuilt 5 speed transmission with shift kit, lightened flywheel, short shifter, race clutch. It's got an aluminum driveshaft, gears and limited slip in the rear. Headers, dumped exhaust, etc. Interior is leather with Mach 460 sound. Exterior is stock with 18" Cobra R's.
She knows I have always like the Mustang and my stepdad never wanted to get rid of the truck. So she asked if I would like to trade vehicles. No more payments by me so I would get out of the rest of the loan. This would allow me to spend more money on my S10 and maybe actually get the thing done sometime soon. But this would be at the expense of getting rid of a truck that I figured I would be buried in one day.
Put yourself in my shoes. What would you do?

if you get the stang youll have more money to do the s-10 and have a sick car and a sick truck......TRADE!!!!!!

The mustang sounds like a pretty nice car. I would trade because I wouldn't like to have a car payment and like you said you would have more money to spend on your truck. I dont know about you but I would like to have a race car and my truck but thats just my opinion. Do whatever you think you should.

agree. paid off is the way to be. Keep your money as YOUR money, not a banks interest on loans.

Depends what you are goig to do with the transportation? Do you need to tow, city driving, lots of driving? Figure out what you want and go for it. The trade is equitable so either way it is a good deal. Good luck

Personally I'd rather have the Mustang, and I hate Mustangs.
