chevy v8 question?

I'm just curious to know, between the 305 and 350...what does each motor weigh around? I'm tryin to figure it out but don't know where to look for answers so i came here.

Not enough to matter, that 305 will make a good boat anchor though if that's what you're wondering. Don't waste your money building a 305 when you could build a 350 for the same price and have the same dimensions on the motor, just different internals.

prolly gonna weigh bout the same seing how therye the same block,but im with dooredzoo on the 305,its good scrap metal,or you can cut it up in small pieces and drag it

I did some looking into this before i started my swap. the best estimate i got was 575 pounds for complete cast small block chevy. of course with aluminum intake,water pump, and heads you could lose about 75 pounds. hope this helps
