Not true. AirLift is the only company that sells the CHROME 450C. VIAIR doesn't sell the 450C in chrome to anyone but AirLift.

We still sell 45040 - which is a silver bodied 450C. They sell very well, and have been a reliable product.

Who told you that VIAIR sold rights to anyone? This is an agreement between VIAIR & AirLift giving them an exclusive, that's all.

My bad,so what your saying is the chrome 450 is still made by viar just not sold by viar?

I have 2 480s on my seven gallon tank and they are damn fast and I havent had any problems, I had a 450 before and it lasted about a year but thats because I didnt drain the water out and I ran the shit out of it

Thanks for the input i have run my 450s for 6 years and like them (running at 180 psi)
12 gallon tank and wanted to know if the 480s would be beter for me to run fill time related thanks for the input.

I got 2 450's They work great for me 150psi is all you need.......
