measure your factory sender ohm load full and empty and find one that does the same and it should work

i dont know if its the same but I just did an 03 supercrew and just had an aluminum fuel cell built 13 inches deep and used the stock sending/fuel pump with it. All i did was drill and tap the 6 stock holes in the aluminum and bolted it in with the stock gasket and some of that sealant that you use for puttin 2-stroke case halves together (fuel resistant, and I had It) Thats the only thing is it has to be at least 13" deep from the top mounting surface to the inside bottom. If you want to use a premade fuel cell thats shallower, or for ground clearance, you can weld up a little raised box section to the top of the alum. cell to mount the pump/sending unit higher up(clear bed crossmember this way maybe? Ya know fit up inside, in between one of the crossmembers.)

you could build one out of steel and use a por-15 gas tank sealant kit on it. theres a recent thread on here about someone trying to use line x inside the tank, and they responded back to the guy with the por-15 stuff

yea...i can do that. the prob is i never welded alluminum before...but i can weld some steel. but what will keep it from sloshing around. aint it suppose to be baffled or something?

all you have to do is make a section in the middle of it, (like a divider in a speakerbox) with the same sheet metal you are using and cut an inch of the corners off so the fuel can flow through the corners of it so when you hit a corner the fuel doesnt slosh side to side. Make bigger corner cuts for the top for the heck of it. You can even make a sheet metal box down in the bottom for where the pickup filter (my dad calls them maxi pads)sits and put a couple 3/8 or 1/4" holes in the sides of it so if it is that low and the fuel tends to move to one side real hard your little box will still have fuel in it for the pickup for that second or so.My trucks alum fuel cell just has the dividers with the corners cut out and my pickup is in the rear of the cell so when i accelerate the fuel is at the pickup And Ive never had a problem with the pump runnin dry. When you mount it, use some rubber or foam between it and the mounts especially on the aluminum. threads into aluminum should be loctited also so they dont seize.

just buy a cell that's the same depth as your stock unit and cut a hole in it and use your stock unit. i did that on my ranger
