the biggest mess is not the stock harness, but the alarm and switches. the red wire with splices is for my switches, i have a switchbox but 2 switches on the dash for front/back (and when i did that, i'd just bagged it, never wired switches before, and only had a spool of the red wire). I'm getting some 9 wire switchbox to take care of that. I have a buddy who helped put in the alarm, i think that's most of the mess. the stock wiring harness isn't actually that bad, it's the alarm (and sensors, and remote start) that's making the mess. Thanks for the help, guys. rabbit, that's the main thing i needed to know, thanks. Jordan, i have a 350, but that's a couple years away. And yes, the wire snips was funny. Thanks again for the help. I wish i would have known i did'nt have to take out the dash, but i was planning on putting in a hot rod air kit, but decided it's too much money, and some highly skilled fabricator friends of mine said it was a pain in the ass to put in, so there's almost no way in hell i could do it. So i figured, the dash was most of the way out, i might as well just yank it the rest of the way to get rid of the blower box and stuff behind the dash to make room for other stuff.

try to figure what goes where and either move it to the side or do nothing ...if your tubbing you dont need to go crazy ...

Alarm guys are such fuckin hacks. We deal with so much of that shit its ridiculous. Try to do a nice clean job of wiring someones shit only to find a rats nest under the dash when we go to tap an ignition power or something.

if you are that lost then you dont need to do it.....work with someone who can guide you so can learn a little something first..not trying to be an ass but you can mess up and be screwed..

haha now your cab looks like would i drive around in all day every day! id say since youve already got the dash out and its not a daily you might as well just remove everything your not gunna need/use and all the left over wires id clean up nice and purty and get them out of the way and easy to access for the next time you have to snatch the dash off for any particular reason. damn, is that a run-on sentence?

lose the a/c and blower box, then follow all the wiring for the fan controls and crap like that. Any wiring diagram would be able to help out.
