ok, i got the dash out, what now? How do i begin to move around this freaking spaghetti style nest of wires? I know i have to take the metal shroud around the steering column out, anyone know what i can do with the main wiring harness that was electrical taped to hell and back in the U channel behind the dash? BTW, it's a 99 s10 and i'm tubbing the firewall for 20's and bodydrop. On another topic, i'm getting rid of the A/C, does anyone know if i can take out that big plastic ductwork where that ran the air to the vents? I want to take it out if i can for room, but i won't do it if it takes away from the structural integrity of the dash. Thanks in advance for the help. (please help!!?!?!)

if your gettin rid of the ac, and not planning on running an under dash set up. Yeah you can get rid of all the ducts in the dash, and the heater core on the firewall. It opens up a lot of room. As far as whats next. Clean up the birds nest of wires and start cutting. If your doing a conventional bd. I would do that first before tubbing. It seemed to work good for me. You don't want to tub too much.

Damn your doing all that to tub it for 20's. I tubbed my Dodge for 24's and a BD and didn't remove the dash or move a wire at all. I hate fucking with all that wiring. I would be careful cutting wires cause you never know what goes to what.

damn thats a mess. so two options. the first being what i would do... 1. get rid of all that bullshit and get a new wiring harness. 2. (assuming somehow everything is working properly) tie all those wires up out of the way in some orderly fasion and make sure they stay covered and dont cut or welded through. i for sure wouldnt try to unplug that mess and then try to put it back in later unless you just love headaches. good luck bro.
