First let me say I know what a super single is so I don't think that is what I saw. I was cruising down the highway behind a semi and I noticed his trailer wheels looked really wide. At first I didn't really notice cause I just thought they were duals. But then I notice it was just one tire. They looked like they were almost as wide as a pair of duals, just not quite. Does anyone no what I'm talking about. The first thing that popped into my head was a phantom dually with these things on the back(fullsizer). I was driving 70 beside so I couldn't tell really how tall or wide these things were.
Just thought I'd share.
i see the same thing on some trucks here in killeen. i have seen that going down the road several times. if i see one parked, i will get some info off of it. i know it looks bad ass, and would make a bad ass phantom.
Supersingle wheels. They are used on big trucks to save fuel and money due to reducing drag and weight.
Problem with putting them on duallys are the widths. They come in 12.25" and 14" wide. If you mill them you cannot get a tire that will bead on them the proper way. However they work great on Hummers, Excursions, and single wheel trucks with a 365/85/22.5 tire.
They looked wider than that. But maybe it is the first time seeing the 14" wide ones. A lot of trucks around here run the 12.5".
Like I said they looked wider, I would say almost 18"-20". But I didn't get a good luck. My wifes huge tits were kinda blocking my view.
allready talked about..use the search..damm people

And that thread didn't say much about the wider ones. And this wasn't no wal-mart rig.
Post up some good pics. Try and get as much detail as possible. Multiple angles, close-ups, measurements, the works.
...oh, and a pic of the wheels, too.
I was driving along side. I should have noticed who owned it and looked it up later.
No I didn't, I just ignored it.
