that alot of difference but what about when you geta load on the truck and the tires swell due to load rating and the tires run when the come in contact with each other on the ground, 3/8is close and when you mouoth the tire on the truck snd the weight of the truck sits on the tires the tires are actually gonna touch and that is not good cause that will build heat and cause the sidewalls to fail and have a blow out..

Thanks DK. That is a close enough measurement.

Husker you might want to add a few inches to what was in the post above. Those tires are 265/35/22s I believe.

The 265/35/22s have a section width of 10.43".

The 24s like we put on Shady's truck, which are 295/35/24s have a section width of 11.61". That is 1.18" more per tire.

Just wanted you to get the right measurements and get whatever you are doing right the first time.

EC when we run the "Townasty" wheels on the rear. We only use a 265 section width tire to minimize the chance of the two tires touching. We have run them on our trucks with a load of around 8-9k on it with minimal squatting on the tires. Also most people only use the "Townasty" wheel with a 16" inner and not the inside 2 22" wheels, therefore giving around 1"-2" in between the tires.

Thanks lock. I was hoping someone would just go out and measure there wheels(hint, hint lilj). It doesn't matter so much now. I was thinking about putting my link bars on the outside of the frame. I wanted to make sure that There would be room if eventually I(or if someone bought my truck) wanted to run semi that nothing would have to be changed. But I think I'm going with a 3 link system all inside of the frame rails, so it isn't really going to matter.

I know I'm over thinking this but I would rather spend a month planning everything out and have it be just the way I want it.
