Hey guys, alright... here is my question to anyone who can possibly help me out. I have a 1998 explorer sport 4x4. I am planning on dropping this weekend with my friend....I am going to remove the from torsion bolts and then flip the keys/bars, and cut off the bump stops. I heard doing this will drop the front roughly 5-6". Then I will lower the rear with blocks. I know this is crude, but I don't have the ching yet for bags. Has anyone done this or does anyone have some advice on the matter? Should I worry about anything else, or will this be ok for now? Thanks for your time and advice!!

not a hundred percent sure about the 98s... but i know on the 00's same body style that inorder to drop the front you need to cut and reweld the torsions up front. and even then you dont get to low. ive been told its easier to bag the front than lowering it...

nope easier to lower it. u dont need to flip the bars just the keys or cut/re weld the bars/keys. you do have to cut the complete bumpstop mount off and notch the lower contorl amr bracket for the LCA.also u will need shorter bolts for the torsion keys. a 4/4 drop will put the rear end on the frame w/ no bump stop. just make sure the front cv axles arnt binding after you drop it.
