yah i think it depends on the cop,ive been pulled over and they didnt say anything about my roll pan, but i have friends who have gotten tickets for roll pans here...

and at all costs stay out of virginia with your minitruck, or at least dont drive it on the streets in virginia(if you live close to virginia like i do)

my friend got pulled over up there ands they wrote him four seperate tickets(rather than four offenses on 1 ticket)

i got a ticket in TN for no rear bumper on my tacoma..and he told me it didnt even matter if the state i was from allowed roll pans...as long as i was in his state i had to go by there rules..regardless if i was passing thru or not or registered out of state

roll pans ARE legal in TN but only IF u have a bumper behind it...I got pulled over back in 95 when I lived there...I made a "bumper" out of 1/2" x 1/2" box width of the roll pan by height of the roll pan that bolted to the frame...went to court & the cop bought it off..... Just call up The THP & ask the questions. That's how I found out what a "bumper" was

ive always heard here in tennessee that the non moving violations "disappear" after a period of 1 year, so i've never been too worried about it.

call 931-762-5007, and ask for Eric Saliba lol.. he can walk you through any and every law pertaining to mini truckin' in the state of TN. He's been pulled over for about every one of them, and gotten out of most by making the proper corrections. Everything from window tint, bumper height (yes you need a bumper behind the pan, height is what they'll get you for)... anyways, most of TN is lenient, just depends on what hick town ur rollin' through lol. Eric at one time had most of the laws printed off from the courthouse and kept them in his wallet, and they were pulled out on the side of the road many times to prove his legality :) here's an exmaple of meeting the bumper height law, eric made this one-off bumper for his burb back in the day, the tips that drop down exactly meet the proper height limit to be legal!
