what are the advantages/disadvantages for running a relay for your pressure switch.i have a 98 accord and had airride for less than a year and i'm on my third pressure switch.no relay.why does this keep happening?do i really need a relay

because your pressure switch is not able to handle that kind of current draw.

yes what nick said. The contacts in the pressure switch are very small. When people used to run the little thomas compressors it was ok, but now you need to use the pressure switch as a switch to turn the relay on. The relay is a high current switch, rated at 30 amps continuous.

Use your pressure switch to switch ground to trigger a relay. It will last longer that way.
