If you are running high pressures, jsut about any valve is loud.
You are lookin for "barkin parkers" They are 1/2" with a 5/8" orfice and are the loudest valve in 1/2" I have them on my blazer with 3/8" line at 180 psi it hops 5 inches off of the ground and goes "Bawoooooooooooooooooooooooop"
Ascos have a great sound also....
smc's are not loud and never will be.They do make a small barking sound but thats about it.Parker made a valve in the late nineties that becaame famous due to it's speed and ear pearcing bark.I found a used set a few years ago but havn't seen them in a while.Parkers seem to last forever so if you see a set snatch them up.The loudest scariest valve in the world.

What ? mine are louder than shit at 160psi and they are SMC 1/2 300psi valves
nitrogen also sound louder than compressed air(made by a compressor) due to the difference in molecular structure.
HAD OLDER 1/2" BLITZ ON MY OLD GREEN TRUCK AND EVERYONE CALLED ME SCOOBY CAUSE THEY SOUNDED LIKE HIM
ive got 5/8 parkers, and there loud as hell
