got home this evening to a clear cage sitting on the computer desk, it was a early christmas present from my son, he decided i needed a iguana since i have always wanted one.. so my question is has anyone ever owned one i know they grow quick and need light to bask in to digest and all but what other things have you encountered

i own a great dane if that helps so dont let it encounter my dog

WOW! you just got a problem that you might not want they can get 6ft long and if you dont handle them alot when you go to feed them or handle them they will beat the SH!T out of you with there tail they can bit(doesnt hurt) and they need alot of room when they older. other than that there great oh yeah you have to watch what you feed them its diet is hard to stay on top of if you have a life..good luck;)

didnt really have a choice in it my son lost his cat today so momma took hm out of the hosue for a lil bit to get him outta the house, and he seen it and wanted to get it for me. i know that taking care of them is hard work i had a friend of mine who had on and that bastard was huge... we are going to get ait a bigger cafe this weekend it is only about 4 inches long but has 9 inches of tail right now... just wondering if any of yall have had one... i am gonna get the heated rock or a rock and put a lamp on it to heat it... so that it can bask in the heat to digest its food... and i want toget a great dane and she doesnt want one cause she says it looks like a horse, but yet she wants a pug that looks like it ran into a wall.. with its face.. lol ....

when it gets too big it might make good interior skin

Mine died after like 3 months so I'm not a good person to ask. They need lots of calcium if I remember right.
