Anyone swapping diesel drive lines into their trucks yet?
I just found a duramax complete from a 02 with 20k miles on it and bought it. trying to think of something sweet to put it into. I've got a 67 C10 that might look neat in!
Anyone got anything with diesel swaps?
i say go for it i always wanted to drop a duramax into my 70 c10 but never could find one complete i say drop the truck to the ground and get a banks kit for the motor and youll be pimpin hard just my .02
Kinda what I was thinking.
That and i've got love for diesel...
put some stacks on it with the clicky clackers on the top
i think its a good idea.
alot of people here are putting cummins in chevy trucks.
but a duramax in a older c-10 would be cool
theres a guy in my town that has a duramax in his 71 c10,its sweet
I've seen a 70 C-10 with a 12 valve Cummins, and a 79 CrewCab Chevy with a Duramax in it. We are working on an 01 F-250 and putting a 12 valve Cummins in it with an Allison Tranny behind it at the shop right now. I also know there is a article th Diesel World with a Duramax in a 88-98 1/2 ton truck like mine. I have thought about putting a duramax in mine in a few years but I would have problems with clearance of the oil and tranny pan. Both would drag.
there was a 60's model chevy truck(64 i think) that had the complete driveling from a ford, 7.3 diesel with the auto trans and dana 60 rear. i think it is from the west coast. there were some pics floating around of it at a show somewhere.
also, on a diesel site i go to, there is an 84-88 toyota with a full race tube chassis set up for drag racing with a 7.3 and 4r100 auto trans in it.
theres a guy on here that is putting one in his box body chevy dually...
Funny it comes up
I've been thinkin how sick it would be to have a mini(well, F/S) with a straight piped cummins under the hood...fuckin rompin
That would be some ill shit right there if you ask me
