ya listen to what they said about the water trap i dont have one and if its cold like it is now where im from the line between the compressors and the tanks freezes i have to get out there with a little butane torch to un freeze that shit or my compressors will run to no end and never fill my tanks cause the pressure switch is usually on the tank to shut them off
but they are viair not thoes other wanabe compressor companies lol j/j

my compressors are under my car as well & i have had no problems, just like the others said. Run it with the Air Water Seperator

this is my setup 2 480's 3 5 gallons, i get a little nervous when its raining, but i think im just gonna make a splash guard.

i ran both of my compressors that i have ran right behind the wheel. never had a problem just remember to clean the air filter out

got 2 viairs mounted right behind the tires slingin water on them just about every other day, no probs yet

just make sure u put the tank in where it cant hit the grand at any angle

I'm running 2 Viair 380's and plan to add another 1. Like everyone else said run a water trap and you shouldn't have any problems. If you mount your comps upside down use lock nuts.
