I don't know if he'll let it go. He's talking about dropping in a single cam KA that's in the garage.
But I can check

Thanks for the comments.I'm getting things narrowed down to a couple of different looks. If I go with color, I'm thinking of going with a gray 18x9 5 spoke (Torque Thrust style). If I go semigloss black, like my Datsun, then I'm looking at 17" Moon disc's.
Nice find. Keep posting pics of the progress. Should look sick.

Did a little code deciphering tonight. The car is coded as a 6 passenger, built in Los Angeles on Nov. 3rd, 1965 for the Seattle region (includes WA, AK and Northern OR). The paint is Emberglo Poly (bronze metallic), and the interior trim is Parchment Crinkle. The axle ratio is 3.00:1 and is an "open" diff. The 289 is listed as a "289 Challenger". 200hp @ 9.3:1 cr. The tranny is a FX Cruise-O-Matic. Both are in need of rebuilds. The tranny has what looked and smelled like engine oil in it, and the engine.... Well, it has sat out exposed to the weather without valve covers on (and no hood) for a long time before I got it. So yep, there's water in it.Anyway, the engine and tranny got pulled today. I'll tear into the engine after a bit. Also removed the core support, made the pull a little easier, and it needed to be replaced anyway. I plan to have the passenger inner fender removed along with the passenger fender tomorrow. Getting the bay cleaned up and hopefully painted tomorrow for the 390 and C6 that will be in by this coming weekend.I'll get some pics tomorrow.
