So I was talking to a friend the other day, and got to thinking, what are your tricks on getting a jack under or whatever you use, to get a body dropped truck with a welded (molded) in roll pan up off the ground, if you have a system failure and no way to get it up??

before you bodydrop the truck usually you'll get the suspension done first and laying flat frame. then put a T inbetween the two airline for the front and rear and then fill the susupension up with a normal garage compressor to get it off the ground.

whoops, i typed that before you edited it. lol. not really sure, a buddy of mine blew a line once but he wasnt bodydropped. we put the jack under the rear axle through the hole in the bed and jacked it up enough to get another jack under the frame somewhere pulled the other one out, and put it in a different spot. it was a pain in the ass but it worked.

you can usually fit a small jack inbetween the fenderwell and the tire to get a framehorn in the front or frame in the rear.

MY VALVES ARE WHERE I CAN REACH THEM IF THE TRUCK IS LAYED OUT -- WHICH IM ASSUMINGCAN BE THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THE SYSTEM IF THEY WERE TO FAIL -- WHICH I CAN JUST GTE ANOTHER SET AND GET THE TRUCK BACK UP --- MY LINES UNDER THE TRUCK AND WELL AWAY FROM ANY BAD SPOTS SO IM NOT WORRIED ABOUT THAT --- IF A SWITCH WERE TO GO OUT YOU CAN ALWAYZ STRIP IT AND GO DIRECT WITH THE POWER --- NOW IF ALL ELSE FELLS -- TAKE THE BED OFF AND JACK IT UP TO FIX IT -- MY BED IS ONLY ON BY 4 BOLTS SO IT REALLY ISNT TO BAD ---- WELL THERES MY STORY !!!!

Yeah, apparently proof reading it TWICE wasn't enough. Hahaha My truck doesn't lay complete frame yet due to my wheels, but i've gotten it up by taking the roll pan off and using the frame right there, and using the part right before the spring pocket, but I'm no where near being body dropped. So I was interested in other people had for idea's?

Scissor jacks and the low profile jacks. I have a low pro I use to get truck started then switch to my big jack. I can stick the small jack in the fender well and jack it up by the front horns.
Good luck and welcome to low trucks. This is why you will hear me yell, dang bodydrops but loving every minute of it.

if and when i bodydrop my truck i want to put 4 cylinders (one in each corner)kind of like the indy cars have. so when something dose go wrong you hit a button and poof your is off the ground and able to put a jack under it.
