Titanium has different grades of quality just like any metal. If you get a good grade of it then its very hard and will last a while. Most of the blocks are a rip off, but if you know someone that deals with things such as certain airplane parts or something along that line you can get some higher quality stuff to drag and it will last a while with a great show.
Yeah, my friend works in a machine shop where they make airplane parts and the titanium pieces that he gets for me can last very long but they must cost a lot, we don't pay for them.

i had a 30" long piece of 1 5/8" square titanium on the end of a drag plate protecting my air tanks and stuff, i drug the hell out of it for a month or so and almost could'nt tell it was ever used. Titanium is hard and should last a while, depending on how hard and often you drag.
ebay. But i've got another bar just like the one i mentioned that has'nt been drilled or tapped or anything, and 4 blocks that are 1 1/2"x1 5/8"x1 5/8" that are drilled and tapped for coarse thread 3/8" bolts. That shit was expensive to get worked, a buddy had it cut down but a local metalworking shop charged me $10/hole to drill and tap it, they ran through 8 carbide drill bits doing 17 blocks. I'll sell it all to you for 100 Wendy's Jr. Bacon Cheesburgers, and i'll even deliver. I have to go to Hot Springs either tomorrow or the first part of next week, so i could drop it by wherever.

I tried magnesium, i remember it burning like a bright teal green in chemistry class in high school, only problem is it's too soft, it does'nt spark, just flakes off.

how do u mount the so they dont wear out so quick!
I remember before Barry Wiser sold his body dropped full size, he had them mounted to cut leaf springs that were welded to the frame, that way it does'nt put as much pressure on them, and you still lay frame.

the guy at the machine must suck.
Ti isnt exactly that hard. its actually not much harder than steel. it just dissipates heat extremely quick, making it tough to machine. the heat created by drilling goes into the bit, making it dull, whereas with other metals, the heat goes into the piece you are drilling.
Horay! i learned something in Manufacturing class that i can relate to!! haha
