thats what i like to hear, sir. thank you. now if i can find out the gear ratio and see how well it would work with a 700r4 tranny.

when shopping around, think of what tranny you are going to run as well. 3.90 gears with a 350/350 combo is pretty high, but if you run a 700R4 or something with overdrive, it wouldnt be as bad. still a lil high though. id personally try to find something that runs 3.40-3.70 ish gears.

price out the gear sets and what-not, it may be cheaper to run an economy hot rod IRS due to they are designed to have a v8 in front of them with a ton of optional parts.

You can easily get away with a Supra rear end with very little problems, assuming it is going into a mini. The small rear end and handle lots of power, but only if there isn't much load on it. The gears will be easy to find because they are the same as the pickups (I think) and some even come with a LSD (limited slip diff.) I would probably steer clear of the Corvette and Jag IRS only because the joints are u-joints, they don't like much travel. They do work, but in a limited travel range.

It's cool to see more of you trying to use the IRS systems. I love them and think everything should have them.

Im doing a supra rear end and a small block right now. I know they can hold a ton of horsepower and they use half shafts so no binding + its a posi and it has 4:11 gears
