MORE CUSHION IN THE REAR

BEFORE WE TAKE OFF TO AON 07' I WANTED TO TRAVEL WITH A BIT MORE CUSHION IN THE REAR SO I FINALLY WELDED MY SHOCK TABS ON THE AXEL AND THEN TO MY NOTCH CROSS MEMBER BAR...I AM A BIT CONFUSED ON WHICH SHOCKS I SHOULD RUN BOTH ENDS NEED TO HAVE EYELIDS AND MY SUSPENSION IS SET UP TO LAY AND DRAG ON 20'S. BRANDS, PART NUMBERS, DIMENSION OF SIZES I COULD GO WITH ANY INFO WILL Help THANKS...

I got a 98 s10 and we put on 2000 full size chevy shocks. I believe they have the "eyelids" that you speak of. I'll take some pictures if you need them to make sure we are talking about the same thing.

i would freak out if i saw a shock with eyelids!!

just fuggin with ya. you are looking for eyelets. if found that cheapo monroe or gabriel gas shocks ride the best on bagged vehicles (unless you get into $100 QA1s or sometihng) they are $15/ea at your local advance/autozone.

heres the trick. measure the distance between your shock mounts when the truck is laid out, and at full lift. go to the store and tell them to stick year/make and model up their ass and to look at the application guide of the shocks they carry. in that guide, there will be dimensions of compressed, extended aas well as mounting. plan to be there about an hour.
