you can paint alluminum the same way i believe.....
that copper color on your block no1lower is what im looking at if I dont go gunmetal. What pulleys are those? I want to run something like that if possible as well, also, how much did that tall intake run you?

Here's mine. Just cheap rattle can engine paint from the parts store with no prep. The block still looks fine, but the valve covers are flaking. Shoulda scuffed em up a bit. It will be re-painted when I figure out how I want to re-paint the truck.

has anyone seen a motor done with the por15 engine enamels? says that you just brush on the normal por 15 (blcack or silver depending on final color) then let that cure, then just brush on the top coat? how does this stuff cover, and does it look smooth when brushed on?

Mine is 60's pontiac blue. I forget the brands and part numbers of the paints. Paint store reccomended it, im somewhat satisfied. Got a little bit of discoloration by the manifolds, other than that it held up all summer pretty well.
Primed, took 3 days to fully cure, then sanded with 600 painted and assembled

says it will. they sell engine enamels as well. but they say clean the block and all really well, and then use normal por15 on it, and then the engine enamel....
I am about to email a tech rep and see what all is needed to be done, step by step.
They sell a kit for painting engines, with everything you need. Its like 50 bucks, but I don't want to do all that, and it turn out shitty, or mess up due to heat and all.
