on mine it backed off the jamnut (even with loctite blue not red) and then just road vibrations to get them pretty loose. i kept noticing it & tightening them so when i pulled the bed off last week for the body drop, i played with the switches a bit & watched it & that's when i figured it out. it only takes one time of hittin sides for it to break loose. i inspected the hell out of my welds on the tabs & no damage, but i won't be doin sides anymore just in case. i'm glad i figured it out now than when i sheet metal the dash & drill out too many holes for the switches...
p.s. i have the regular sd.com's adjustable 4 link too (with over axle bags), not the super pivots

does it do any damage to the actual bushings? i would like to be able to hit sides, but i haven't much because i wasn't sure what damage it would do with the regular bushings. is there a way to keep the jam nut from backing off? or is going with the super pivot bushings my only option if i want to be able to hit sides? i don't have $35 a piece for those bushings at the moment.

it didn't to mine, but that doesn't mean it can't or won't.
