I think minitruckin is a lifestyle... each minitrucker may have a little different way of livin it but still. I choose to work day and night on cars and mini's, if you really love the whole thing, not just mini trucks, you are definitely a MINI TRUCKER

I work on my mini quite a bit too. Not day and night though as there are other projects I have to take care of as well (like most of us), House, two other project vehicles, building my office in the basement, family stuffs....etc..etc...
I would also say that working on your ride day and night 24/7 and nothing else doesnt mean your livin a specific livestyle other than one of a EXTREMELY HARD worker (props!) and a die hard gear head.
When I think of "lifestyle" (and this is just MY opinion) the word trend or trendy comes to mind. Like Emo or goth or whatever crap the kids are into these days...Working on your ride 24/7 and being SO into your ride, is so much more than a lifestyle. Lifestyle doesnt even begin to cover it. You dont wrench on your ride like you do cause you are trying to protray that your a car/truck/mini-truck guy when sliding through the local cruise in. You do it because its what you love.
lifestyle or life-style or life style
n.
A way of life or style of living that reflects the attitudes and values of a person or group.
I agree with everyone else. It doesnt matter if you have the cover truck of the month or just something layin around in pieces, a minitrucker is a minitrucker, someone who wakes up, eats, shits, and dreams the scene. Everyone has to start from somewhere, I look back and laugh at the days when I would saved years of lunch money in high school just to buy stuff for my truck haha.....get your education, keep bein a minitrucker, and good luck!

So bascially what your sayin is that we shouldnt call it alifestyle we should call it a......? Not hatin im just wonderin because i understand where your sayin that it makes it protrayed as a trend such as goth or prep, but i dont think you can call it anything else that wont make people that dont know shit about us still call it a trend. I agree it cant be classified as a trend because it's hard work and takes way more skill than being a prep or a goth. So with this I would like to know what you would like us to say because no word in the english dictionary can describe what we do.not hatin just wonderin, and you make a good point.
Look.....it sounds like you are having issues man.If you are afraid to tell people in fear of what they might think....or scared your mother and father may disown you.....then you might wanna be a closet minitrucker. But if you know for a fact that you will drag body one day and throw sparks everywhere and not be afraid to lay out in front of others in fear of ridicule....then yes....you are a minitrucker. Dont walk into this hobby blind....learn your shit. Because if you dont we will clown you at shows when you know nothing about your truck....and a hint....do the work yourself or at least some of it. See ya at the shows newbie.
Shit this thread blew up, well I already knew I was a minitrucker when I posted this and I honestly don't care what others think. Just it seemed like latly on here people were bashing the hell out of others for everything little thing, if just got me thinking, what the hell would all these guys think of me since i drive a stock truck. I know someday I will have a truck that lays and drags hard. I do think it is a lifestyle and love living it everyday.
I'm ready to see you all at shows this season, till then drag hard.
i wonder what dr phil would say about this??? hahah jk
Earlier a guy mentioned walking through the mall with the wife and kids wondering how to recognize mini-truckers. I am old too, so I am not sure how to know myself. I know with skaters, I see all the kids wearing ELEMENT shirts, but the real skaters are the ones with half their shoe worn through. I guess the real minitruckers have welder burns on their shirts? Maybe red-eyes and sunburned faces? Those black spots under their finger nails from taking a hammer shot? I dont know...just something i was thinkning about.
