I think "under construction" had its place and time.
I'm tired of going to shows and 1/3 of it being primered trucks with bags.
yeah, its cool to see other people's ideas...
but in my opinion, thats kinda like stealing.
not seeing other peoples ideas would force you to be more creative, trying to stay ahead of the game...think about back in the day before the internet was around...
nobody had any idea of what was out there until they saw it at a show. that was real competiton in my mind. You're always trying to be "that guy" with it done first.
then the internet came along...a guy in Maine is able to see what a guy in Arizona is fabricating before it even hits the shows... along with it came drama and people using others ideas.
idk...some under construction is cool, then theres the "why in the hell is that here" class.

Yeah i get what your sayen. But imo you gotta start somewhere. If you build a truck. Most people can't just run out and buy a truck and throw 24's on it with bags and b/d it shave and paint it suicide the doors build a new motor and trans chop the top and build a full interior in a couple weeks. I will show my truck in primer w/ 20's and a little bit of stuff shaved with a new motor and trans. But the only reason i show it like that to me is cause it keeps me motivated. I show next to the instagator truck then it motivates me to work harder and longer hours etc. So for me it gets me goen. That way i see the finished product as soon as possible. But there are alot of those " why the hell is that there" Thats what i think we should cut back on. But thats someones UC ride as well so...? It's just motivation for me.

lets keep in mind "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" means the vehicle is progressing... some of the trucks I see show after show are still only bagged and primered, be careful not fall into that catagory

Do yall think that it is fair to have a badass car or truck primered with bad ass air brushing and graphics in the under construction class? I think those people are ruining our class! I know there are some people that have the money to do that to there car just for a show and go home and sand it all off to do some body work but you know there are people that keep it that way but who knows, there suspension might be under construction!!!!!?????

I think that showing your vehicle while under construction takes away from its "impact" when you debut it finished. Everybody has pretty much already seen it so it is somewhat old news.

But when are they ever REALLY finished? I understand all sides to this thread. But what about the guys in oklahoma or where like me who see pretty much the same stuff every year. Theres alot of new stuff sometimes but its usually the same ol stuff. So why not throw in your ride so people can check it out. Give you something to shoot for.

I am from Oklahoma. Trust me there is nothing I like better than seeing a fresh ride, but the greatest thing EVER is rolling out your truck and having a huge crowd around it all weekend because they had never seen it bvefore. When I took the crewcab to Greenville in 2004, there were people packed around it all weekend and 7 magazines (online and print) asked to shoot it. Was a great feeling. I had never showed 1 picture of it online or showed it while Concepts was working on it.

IMO shows should keep the under construction rides separate from the finished rides.
i like seeing them but think there should be a section dedicated to UC and not on the main drag at a show with the finished vehicles.
