ok i have found a 2002 black dakota with the v8 auto and a standard cab so give me the goods and bads of this truck and tell me how much u'd give for it. the body is perfect and interior
well some dakotas have transmission problems . i think it has a crimp in one of the hoses and if you fix it soon enough then your good but if not then your tranny slips. i think that is with 97 dakotas though. its hard to body drop you have to z up the front like 2.5 inchs but if you lay it body its badass lookin. id give 7grand for the truck cuz those 4.7L can haul some ass suprisingly.
wow so thats exactly wat my 97 4x4 did wow. but ya i know bout lay'n out did one already and this will prolly just be my daily for a few years till i finish my c-10 and my s-10. so what kinda gas milage am i look'n at?? and any douwnsides to the truck?
o and what quick things can i do to get a lil more power out of it besides the exhoust and intake stuff?
don't do it, learn from our mistakes, just say no
nah i'm just gonna use it for a daily and to pully my boat no bags for atleast 5 years and i'm not scard of a lil cut'n when i do it
computer chip throttle body and some head work with out putting out a few grand for a turbo. idk about mileage maybe around 17mpg
i have an 05 w/ 4.7 as my daily and i'm getting an avg. of about 17-18 mpg hwy and 14-15 city. my boy had an 01 ext. cab and got about the same

i get about the same with my 2000 club cab 4.7
transmission sucks, bolt pettern sucks and gas mileage sucks. obviously thegreatone knows what hes talkin about because i had the EXACT same problems with mine. he did however leave out the fact that youll most likely have to narrow the rear end to lay because most of the wheels made for it are a shitty offset sicnce it has a retarded bolt pattern. also, z'ing the frame is correct. i had a 3.9 v6 that got 12 miles per gallon on a good day. even after tune ups and whatnot, it still didnt help. other than that, i loved the truck but after about 7 wrecks (most not my fault) i decided to sell it. just depending on the mileage it has and if it was well kept id say it was worth around $7-8k
