1 ton cast upper control arms

ok i've seen some people running these arms and yes there are a few different styles. i picked up a set at the local junkyard for 20 bucks so i'd thought i'd give them a try. well 2 questions, do you offset the bushings slightly to get them to fit into the factory mounts on the frame or do you move the frame mounts? and what balljoint is the prefered? i've heard a couple people say 02 ford lightning or the stock replacement for the cast upper and ream out your spindle to make the larger balljoint fit? i would really prefer to run a balljoin that i dont have to modify the spindle if at all possible. thanks kyle

napa has the balljoint you need it for an 88 1/2 ton it will bolt to your a arm and has long enough travel to lay
