i just bought some tru-max insulator mats and sticky stuff adhesive from summit. i got (2) rolls of 48" x 72" and 1 can. all of it was around $60. i mainly bought it for the heat. here's the website description and a link:

Keep noise, heat, cold, and moisture out of your interior with the Insulator mats by Tru-Max. Made from a dense, mutli-layered fiber cloth packing, a fire-retardant coating, and a single aluminized outer layer, the Insulator mats can protect you from heat up to 400 degrees F. Put them under your floorboards, headliner, on the firewall and in your door panels to keep heat, cold, and road and engine noise at bay. They cut with regular scissors and attach easily to metal surfaces with Tru-Max's Sticky Stuff adhesive. The 3/8 in. thick Insulator mats come in a 4 ft. x 6 ft. sheet.

In my other trucks I have always used a layered approach and they have been "DEAD".  Did a spray in layer of undercarage coating, then dyno-mat, then a thick layer of jute and then padding, the carpet for the floors.  For the doors we did undercarage coating, strips of dyno-mat, spray in sound deading, then badding around pods.  For roof we did undercarage coating, strips of dyno-mat, thick layer of jute, then headliner.

secondskinaudio.com they are based in phoenix, and not only make the best sound deadener they have alot more product then just deadener. ive used peel n seal before and its good for sealing your truck, but not really deadening it, same with fatmat imo.

im using peal n seal in my truck and have used about 10-12 rolls so far. it gets mass onto the metal, and that is what does the deadening. will it work like fatmat, or raammat, or second skin? no... but does drown out some sound, and helps with heat due to the foil backing.bottom line, it works, but not even in the running for the best buy some secondskin or raammat, because to get the results from peal and seal, youre going to do more work, and pay the same amount of money. oh and it's called "asphault based flashing".
