Need some selling advice! please

i lost my ass on my s-10, but got close to what i thought was fair. nothing i could do. its the nature of the beast. The simple fact is that minitrucks, especially s-10s, will never sell for what you have in them or they are even "worth."

he's saying that he's taking a loss on it, a pretty huge loss. I think $4500 is a hell of a deal, hell i think the blue book is a hell of a deal. The thing with s10's is they're so popular (trust me, i know) that the actual fair market value is a lot higher than the blue book. When the tree fell on our cars, the insurance went by fair market value, and my s10 that's bagged w/almost 100k miles had a fmv of $6900 and my wife's 1 year old Buick Rendezvous had a fmv of $12k (we owed $28 on it at the time, lol). He knows he's gonna lose his ass, he just wants the cash to go into something else.
