anyone know if an 86 toyota 22r motor will work in an 86 mazda b2000 if so can you give me some tips and also whats involved with the trans and drive shaft? thanks for your help

make motor and trans mounts, you have to use the toyota trans, take the front half of the toyota driveshaft and the rear half of the mazda driveshaft to a driveshaft shop and have them put together the right length.

Otherwise sounds like a worthwhile and (relatively speaking) easy swap if you do a carbed motor.

MY TRUCK HAS A TWO PEICE DRIVE SHAFT DO ANY OF THE LATE MODEL YOTAS HAVE TWO PEICE DRIVE SHAFTS IF SO I COULD HAVE THEM JOINTED TOGETHER RIGHT?

even with the 2 piece driveshaft if you swap the yoke off the front of the driveshaft it should work as for the length since you have a 2 piece there is a little movement at the cariier bearing so you might not have to shorten it.

Since you have an 86 Mazda you should do the 2.6 swap from a Starion. The 86 Mazda came with a 2.6 motor that is a Mitsubishi. That same motor came in the Starionm/Dodge Conquest and was also a Turbo motor. You should be able to find the tranny and bolt it in with the motor.

nah my mazda came with a 2.0 its the long bed lx edition. but that motor should still work. i think imma still go with the yota though

hey kris good point ill take that into my notes haha but as far as useing the yoke off the yota and putting it onto the mazda two peice it should work that way thanks for the advise
