gauges are retarded...its just another place to leak. ive never ran gauges in my toyota, after a while you know how high you need to be to do what ever, plus the more pressure the higher you'll get (to an extent) the less pressure, the lower you get and your ride improves (to an extent) you'll know the sweet spot in the bag where your high enough to drive around and get an awesome ride. to help out being crooked when i air up i lock up the front and let it down to where i like it, the back airs up even but if its crooked i can tell just driving it and fix it accordingly

i'd deffinitly run gauges, if your bodydropped and try to turn w/ big wheels you fuck your fenders up bigtime unless you know how much pressure you have up front. but if your running small wheels that dont really tuck then i'd say forget the gauges..

I didn't run gauges on anything but my tank. never had a problem, you can feel if the car is un-even.

I like mine, I know where I need to ride in order to not eat up the tires and leaks are gone if you know what you are doing.

Coming from a shop that sells gauges, you would think I'd recommend them, but really it's up to your personal preference. I've never run more than a tank pressure gauge up until I got the Comet running, and I've never had a moment where I said, "Gee, I wish I knew how much pressure I'm running right now..."
The Comet NEEDS gauges because it's running 1/4 paddle valves and peashooter lines, so you need a gauge for proof that the car is actually going up or down, but for 1/2" systems they're just decoration once you get used to the setup.
For the first week or so you'll find yourself looking at them to set your ride height, but after that it becomes second nature just going by feel.

Like mentioned above, I highly recommend digital gauges if you want to run anything- less line and fittings = less leaks, and the digital systems have gotten much less expensive lately.

The way air bags work is by quantity of air (volume.) Pressure is only a by-product of volume. Trying to stuff 10 lbs of shit into a 5 lb bag will create pressure. The problem is that pressure can be measured easily and volume cannot. SO, using pressure to measure the height of your vehicle will be only close at best. I bagged a car once that took 90lbs to get off of the ground and then it dropped down to 70lbs at ride height and stayed at 70lbs through 4 inches of travel. The pressure did not need to go up because the volume needed to lift the vehicle was equal to the expanding bag size.

If you choose run a guage cool, if not, that's fine too. But, by no stretch is a guage necessary.

if you have pricey tires, then gauges are nice. have it aligned at a certain psi, and set it at that psi when you are cruising. granted it will never be at the exact same spot, but itll be close enough to save tire wear.

personally, ive run with and without. after having a bagged truck for 4 years, i know how to "feel out" my height. then theres always the "opening the door" technique...
