(SUICIDEDOORS RAISED TANK). about two hours after the truck was finished and layed out in my buddies yard we took it for a test drive to make sure everything was going to go good with the truck. we was just cruzin at 65 when the back left tire blew out and then the tank some how caught fire .we lost control of the truck and it went into a ditch and hit a tree. luckily everyone made it out of the truck with only cuts and bruises. and waited for the local fire department to show up and put the fire out. so the lesson that was learned is to make sure either get a fuel cell or put ur tank in the back of the bed."

Sorry to see this happen yet again.
I had a blowout in my car on my way home from Showfest last year. I got a few scratches in my tank from it but it is high enough that it will only drag if the tires are flat/ not there anymore.

Dragging, not draggin, built right, bolt on...
I could care less, I am glad that everyone involved is ok. I stopped doing drag nights as often when the burn bans went into effect. No way in hell I am going to be involved in starting a fire that my foot cannot stomp out.

thats because a few bad apples ruin the bunch.

They used to call hot rodders "punk kids with hot rods" back when kids were putting together any ramshackle combination of parts, now the mainstream hot rodder is a accountant in his 50's who spent tens of thousands for someone else to build a shiny car from off the shelf parts that gets driven maybe 150 miles a year including on and off its trailer.

My point is, until everyone grows the fack up and the older guys start cuffing these stupid younger guys into line, we are always ging to be the bunch spoiled by a few bad apples.

I have seen a few posts pointing OUT the fact that people need to grow up, but thats just words on a screen, everyone forgets when there are funny antics at the hotel or DVD's of 10 mile drags.

If I show a 5 year old boy how to shoot a bb gun and he shoots the cat, its my fault. If I show an 18 year old that everyone goes to shows and acts the fool and drags his truck up and down the strip, then he goes home and drags his truck till it catches on fire and he hits a telephone pole, whos fault is that?
