In an over axle setup you will only get the lift that the stroke of the bag provides. So for example if the bag is 3 inches compressed, 10 inches extended, you have 7" of travel to work with. If the bag is not fully compressed when your truck is laid out. (say its only at 5" instead of 3") then you just lost 2" of lift. All you can do with an over axle setup to optimize your lift is set the bag up to be fully compressed when the truck is dumped. If you arent happy with that ...then an over the axle setup wasnt the right choice. If the bag is not fully compressed, you can either lower your upper mounts or fab up a spacer to put between the bag and lower mount. That way you can remove the spacer if you ever get bigger wheels.
