I have a 94 cpi 4.3l with a 4l60e tranny in my blazer, well the motor blew and tranny is close to it. I found a carbed 4.3l out of a fullsize for cheap so i got it. Only 8k miles.

Since im going carbed i cant use my 4l60e, ill need a 700r4. I cant figure out what vehicles specifically had that tranny. I dont wanna buy a tranny and it be the wrong one. I can get a tranny from a EFI if i buy a kick down cable correct? As long as its not 93+? i did alot of research but noone has hit my dilemma specifically. And for the guages i guess ill have to buy ALL new ones. i kept all my wire harness for light windows and all that intact so hopefully i can use it. Any help is appreciated

700r4's came in el camino's from 85ish and up, camaro and firebirds mid 85ish to 92, corvettes same yr run, s10 trucks with 4.3's, any year up to 93, same with 4.3 blazers, 5.7L and 4.3L fullsize chevy trucks from 87 to mid 93 (after that they went 4l60e's)

i think i'm leaving something out.

Even with 700r4 you still gotta make it lock up somehow, just voltage I think.
