Im fixin to start takin stuff apart, and im wanting to paint from, control arms, axle, all suspension basically......Will paint hold up well enough to do all of this, or should this be more of a powder coat job?? Paint i can do myself thats why i prefer it..

Well powdercoat would be the most chip resistant color solution but if it's a show truck, auto paint should be fine. Just be careful with handling parts and assembly. Of course if you drive it much expect to get some wear with just paint.

Sandblast it so you are working with clean metal. You can get chassis paint from places like NAPA but I'm not sure what they have for colors. powder is the way to go if you have the money for it, although stuff like the frame and axles isnt always easy to do.

Around here, there is a place that will powdercoat your entire frame, any gloss color that you want, for 300$. That price includes them sandblasting it and doing the taping for prep work...minimal.

For "kandy" style powdercoat it only jumps to 500$.

hell i cant even paint it with house of kolor paint for that cheep, after you add up the primer, color, and clear....its well over the 500$ mark...

Bryan........

That is from a place up here in Gladwin. Idk how far of a drive it is from you, but its a hell of a price. The turnaround time is around 1-2 weeks. They usually do a ton of work for all the local circle track racers up here, but they are more than happy to do this kind of stuff in kandys and metallics and what not.

thats ware im takin my frame, axle, and all my other stuff, the suspension stuff will all be chromed.....and i got a hook up on that now also!
