Does anyone still make the convertible top kits for minis? I'm about to purchase a 88 mazda and would love to make it convertible. I remember Ratical tops and Hottops from back in the day. Or if anyone has a kit that they bought and never used... that would be cool. Later!
take it from someone thats had a convert mazda for over 10 years , dont do it if you live anywhere it rains more then a couple days a month. i had the ratical top, whick leaked , then went to all metal custom made "kit" then to roadster cause my roof was leakin anyways
mine leaks right in my lap but its fun in the summer
tops are for pussy's...just kidding.... John is right tho A.I.M still sells the kits for almost all minis....
the kit is 2 peices of plastic that sucks. I have the video from back in the day. Don't do it unless you have lots of fab skills, and if you do, you would be best off just making it from scratch.
If ya do it...do a custom metal connvertible not one of them kits. Metal ones tend to look alot better.
If you have the skills do it on your own without a "kit". If you don't have the skills to do it pay someone or just don't do it at all because I've seen a few truck never come back from a bad convert job (including one of my own)
forget a top all together -- roadster style -- gotta luv a roadster !!!
forget the top you don't need one
my computer at college won't let me get on dropjaw to get the better pics they get at endless
