Alright this is a 4x4 question I can get a full with Rear end out of a 2004 F-150 (NEW BODY STYLE IT WAS A SPLIT YEAR). It has a locker and disk brakes which is why i want it but i just need to know if it is going to hold up. I am not sure what rear it is but i know it has a 9 3/4" ring gear which seems pretty tuff. I will be running 37" tires and a 4.3 fuel injected motor. Thanks for the help
that's a big ring gear. The chevy 12 bolt is only 8.875 and the ford 9 inch is well...9 inches so it should be heavy duty based upon that size.
FORD HAS HAD A NOISE PROBLEM WITH 9.75 AND 8.8 REARENDS! MAKE SURE YOU USE EXTRA FRICTION MODIFIER! FORD PART # IS XL-3
OTHER THAN THAT IT SHOULD BE TUFF ENOUGH!
