My four gc valves for the front are mounted as close to each bag as possible on the frame rails inside the engine bay to keep um warm for the winter months. I only have two smc's for the rear mounted on the center of my notch bridge. Not sure if this matters to anyone but I know that my valves in the rear get a little sticky due to the cold weather in the winter months(and I clean and oil them once every three months), anyone else have this prob...Hope this sheds some light for you.

I mounted my valves as close to the bag as possible, because I was looking for some speed on the lift.

I mounted mine directly to the bag. I'm running nitrogen and didn't want to waste air filling the lines and the bags everytime I lift. Plus it's super fast and really loud.

I mounted my valves under the cab, upside down, directly to teh floor about 2-3 feet from the front bags on each side of the truck. For the rear I mounted then in the bed.
