86 C-10 Shaved Doors

What size/brand door solenoids is everyone runnings on their c-10s? Should the Autoloc 35lb solenoids be enough to open the doors or should i get the 50lb or 75lb.

the noid will be enough, just get some poppers too.. light ass doors like import doors dont need poppers, but heavier doors like fullsizes and even my s10, needs poppers to pop open enough to get your fingers into it.

I would get on ebay and get the protocol solenoids. The 75lbs ones. I paid 65 for everything to do 2 doors. Mine have been popped probably 10 times everyday for a year and a half and I havent' had one problem.

when I did mine I heated up the springs on the door latch just to weaken them so it wasn't too hard for the solenoid to pull. I used the power trunk kit and it works good.
