That really just depends on his goal for his truck. Everyone has a different reasons for their passions. If you want to be a famous singer you do everything you can to make it happen. If he wants to start his own custom business or something of that nature than I see nothing wrong with the "obsession". If you are not passionate about what you love to do, then you are probably not enjoying it to the fullest.

you know what guys its life. i know family and stuff are more important and stuff sostop workin on the truck when they need help. but if the women or friends dont like it there not ur friends no wonder i only have a few friends cause i do what i do to make me happy not to live a boring life with someone who doesnt liek minitruckin or workin on cars in general my last girl said she wanted to work on cars casue she thought it would make me like her more. so she changed my tuire on my car like it would make a difference i would be happy if she pulled the head off my integra or if she pulled out the grinder and cut stuff up im not gonna make them do it and if they dont know how i wont show them unless they grab stuff and wanna learn to learn not to want me to liek them more. but ya just be happy and live life you only live once

Ive been going through the same thing for the past 7 years with my project. I have based my life around my truck and have lost girlfriends because of it also. I finally said that this year I wasnt going to have a girlfriend or any other distractions so I can finally get my truck done. Everything was going as planned until I started hanging out with my ex. Now Im back in the same place I was four years ago having to choose between getting my truck done or getting back with her and probably gettin side tracked again. Damn women will do it to ya everytime lol!!!!!!

I am on year three of my build and have definitely came close to my breaking point with my life/ride. It sucks up alot of money and time that most would say could be better spent elsewhere. I've been through two different builds on my motor (due to shit hole machine shops but i work at a badass racing shop now) that was very very frustrating. Just getting my engine together and how i want it has cost 15 g's and has tested my patience costless times and that is only one aspect of several i've dealt with in this build. The only thing that helps me keep it together when it seems like the cutlass has taken over is too walk away and take some time for myself. Its not worth having a nervous break down and losing friends over. I'd unload my girlfriend in a heartbeat if she started bitching though. lol.

luckly i have a girlfriend that works and puts her money in my rydes 2,she is the best girlfriend ever and knows how much my vehicles mean 2 me,we have been together on and off for 8 years,but i do provide for her and my daughter before the truck,that is a must!!!!!!!!!!!!!
