Scammer Voicemail WTF

ok so i woke up this morning to find that i had a voicemail on my cell phone. I found it odd because the call list was empty and usually it tells me i have a voicemail and a missed call. Well i checked my voicemail and it was a generated voice saying that they had a client interested in my truck and that they wanted me to pay them $89 for their services and that they would make all arangements to have the vehicle picked up and delivered then they would cut me a cashier's check. This shit is getting rediculous. I don't know how they managed to get through without my phone picking up the number but they didnt' leave any information for me to contact them either so...

what the fuck thats crazy. the things people go throuth these day to fuck u over!

You can leave someone a voicemail on cell phones without actually calling them. I've done it when I didnt want to talk to someone, but had to tell them something. Lol.

You have just been voice-mail spammed! That stinks... I get stupid voicemail spams all the time now.

i wouldn't say this is a "new" scam, just the same ol tricks of trying to get you go pay before they do anything. I think your phone just didn't get the call and he left a VM. i've had that happen plenty of times, i get a phone call from someone and they're askin me if i got they're vm and asking me why i didn't answer the first time... well cause the phone didnt' ring maybe. and 5 minutes later my phone peeps with mail.... it's just the phone loosing signal sometimes.... but if Seth says there is a way to do it on purpose then they're must be somehow...

Yeah, I got an email by someone claiming the same thing for my Isuzu this morning. Whoever's doing it is targeting SSM for some reason. Haven't got anything on my voicemail yet. But yeah, there is backdoor numbers or whatever they're called to just leave voicemails.

you can.. cingular back a yr or so ago, you could send a voicemail from your VM to someone elses.. you'd log into yours, leave the vm, then type in the number you want it to goto and it would send it.

When you check your voicemail, after the messages there is an option "Would you like to leave someone a message? Press 8" or whatever number it is. Then you enter there number, and it goes directly to their voicemail withotu ringing or notifying them. They just get a 'new voicemail' notification. Its a great feature. Lol.
