im not sure if that was a smart remark or not, but i know its been done before reguardless. many times previously at that. It fits how I want the truck when done, so I think I may go for it.

There is a pic of a car I built on my profile (23 Ford) that had a keg for a gas tank. All kegs (that I have ever seen) are stainless steel. You can easily have fitting welded to it and use it everyday.
As for fuel level...be creative. A clear hose from the top to the botom of the tank will work for a site guage.
One word of advise tho, stainless steel doesn't take kindly to poorly thought out mounts. Secure the tank well. At least 4 tabs with a large welded area. If you don't, it will crack.
