hood hinges

i took of the hood hinges off my 03 silverado because of the tubs. what can i put so it will stay up. i have seen does little shocks that keep it open anyone got any info on how to do this

u took the hinges off or the prop or what exactly?. If you want to just have something that holds the hood in the open position You can use some of the small gas struts. Use one on each side if you have the clearance

i took them off because of the wheel tubs. what size of gas shocks do i use. i hate having the truck at shows and having something to hold it up.

You can measure from point to point where you want to mount them. You will have to make mounts and whatnot.

thanks for the help .. i think a foward hood kit would be much easier and would look better

are you talking about suiciding the hood?
