Whats up, I know there are prolly like a billion threads on this but here it goes. I have bagged the front of my truck. I jacked the lower control arm up as far as it would go making sure that the bag was conpressed completely. I also cut the lower control arm to move the balljoint to the top of the lower control arm. I let it all down, cut out the wheel wells and I am sitting about a 1" to a 1 1/2" from laying. I have 17" denali's and 215/45/17's. If anyone can help please give me your suggestions. Thanks, Ray

i had the exact same problem even after flipping the ball joints...you have to trim the lower control arm where its hitting the frame...

that only changes the camber, unless your upper balljoints are binding. You need to trim the lower like zach said, even though it may mean redoing the upper mount.

how do you know if they are binding? I am going to put a set of bitch blocks on it so i don't need to lay out all the way, but I would like to get it a little lower.

trim the lower control arm like zach said, pull the bags out (yes you have to) and see if it lays any lower.

chances are though, when you look at the lower arm you will see obvious signs that it is bottoming out on the frame.

Right now though, if your bags are squished all the way you will be rediong the upper mount no matter what. Dont buy drop spindles unless you understand the shortcomings, they push the wheel out and take away all your camber.

drop spindles are no good! only needed if you are running 20's!

you will need to trim the lower control arm near where it mounts to the truck...chances are, that is what is holding you up. take the bag out, jack up the lower arm and watch it hit the frame. you should only need to take a half inch off. MINI TRUCKIN did a tech article on a frontier where they did this and I have done it to a few other trucks with no adverse effects.

Well I appreciate the help guys. I can't move the upper mounts now. I would have to pretty much destroy them to get them off. It might just have to stay like it is. I just don't like the fact that its not layin. afterall what is the point of having air if you cant lay.
