Can everyone please post pics of 2 links ?and let me know the pros and cons ?
im still learning all the pros and cons of 2,3,4 links but, from what ive learned by some of the folks on here that actually know what the hell they are talkin about there are no good points to a 2 link.
2 link is a basic setup designed for front and back motion, i think they are the shit, would run one any day, been runnin em for years. iaccino fabrication has built a name on them.
cant two link a mazda without moving the gas tank, in which case you might as well use a four link. My Mazda had a two link on it when I bought it and had ruined the whole driveline because you cant get the bars long enough or high enough to keep the driveshaft from moving fore/aft a couple inches. Bye Bye carrier bearing, u joints, and trans real seal!
no articulation (isnt that why there are FOUR wheels on your truck and not three?) stress on the frame and axle housing, pinion angle is only correct at one height, forget about big lift on a mazda, it goes on and on. And IF uses two links when they can make them loooong which minimizes (but doesnt eliminate) these problems.
What.a.bout with a panhardbar...?
HAD A TWO LINK ON MY TRUCK SINCE THE VERY FIRST TIME I BAGGED IT --- WHICH WAS ALMOST 4 YERS AGO -- RIDES GREAT --- SEE MY PROFILE ----- EKSTENSIVE TWO LINKS ALL THERE RIDES -- AND THEY HAVE A HUGE WAITING LIST -- THE NAME SPEAK FOR ITSELF -- FORGET WHAT EVERYONE ELSE TELLS YOU ABOU THEM BEING BAD --- ITS ALL ABOUT THE INSTALL --- IF YOU DO IT RIGHT -- U WONT HAVING ANY PROBLEMS --

how will a panhard bar keep it from moving fore and aft? That just keeps it from swinging side to side.
you can listen to a hundred people tell you it will work, I AM TELLING YOU NOW that if you put one on a mazda you will have to
1) make the bars longer
2) move the mounting point up so the bars have a straighter shot to the axle.
either way you have to move the tank. which kind of defeats the purpose or running a two link.
2 links on rangers and full size dont have this problem because they mount outside the frame. Mazda 2 links mount too low, they will already have an up angle (which is what makes it move fore/aft), plus your leaf perches hang lower than the frame so you will lay 2 link!
Look in my pics, I threw my whole frame away. Two links on a mazda are just dumb. Two links on everything else are just lazy, guys will agonize over the right shade of green for their paint job and work for hours to make their body drop perfect, or search for years to find the perfect accessory for underhood, and spend 30 minutes installing a rear suspension with so many inherent problems. I dont get it.
wow thats a steamer!! ifcustoms builds 2 links all day long. yeah they have pros and cons just like everything else. drove a 2 link for the longest time no problems ever.
i personally dont have one but i have alot of friends that have them and no problems,my truck is fixing 2 go in 2 lay out on 22s and it will be 2 linked with a track bar,the only way 2 go, the panhard bar is a peice of poo
