Anyone have any experience with shallow mount subs? Do they sound any good? Are they worth it? I'm having second thoughts about getting my single cab but I guess its too late.

The Earthquake SWS subs sound really good and there 12 is only 3 1/2" deep and requires a 1/4 cubic ft.

I have a 15" shallow mount Critical Mass sub in the trunk of my car and I am very pleased with it. www.criticalmassaudio.com is the web site. My buddy owns Extreme Motorsports and is a dealer. You can call him for some pricing. You can e-mail me if you want his number. I hope this helps.

I've installed several of the shallow Pioneer 12" subs. I've been very impressed every time.

I was told these didnt make it into production because it didnt pass the stress tests. Is this not true?

The pioneers have impressed me multiple times as well. I work car audio and they don't sound that great on our sales floor, but when you get them into a vehicle they rock. I did a single 12" in a blazer and was amazed and then did 2 12's behind the rear seat of a friends explorer sport trac and was equally impressed.
