I usually wouldnt ask this here it being primarly custom vehicles, but i figured there were a few GM gods/ASE certified people browsing that can maybe help me.

I have a 93 s10 blazer 4x4 VORTEC 4.3 (cpi motor). Since i got it i've put a new ignition module in it, pickup coil, it had a new coil in it, plugs and cap and rotor. Its never seemed to be set in time off of the timing mark. when i tried to, it ran like shit, when i went by feel, the timing mark was out in left field.. but it ran great so i left it.. ran like a TOP for 3 weeks, minus a small miss at low speed, but that was from the cap not being tight i'm sure.

anyways, i come to a stop sign to do a stop n go and wehn i went to go, it chugged 1 time and died, wouldnt restart. everyone said it sounds like it skipped time. So we pull the timing cover, hand turn the motor where the dots lined up, dot to dot, dis was 180 out (i think we did it when i put the pickup coil in it, but ran fine so we didnt think anything of it)... so we pulled the dizzy, put it where it needed to be, installed new timing chain where the old one was, pisto nwas at TDC.

get it all back together, turns over like a top, but wont start.. gets fuel, you can smell it, gets spark, but the spark isnt like a light of fire, its white and not really 'that big'.. so i put another coil on it, same spark pattern.

any fuseable links that could have blown? any relays gone bad? maybe the computer went bad? anything? oh and fuel pump is fairly new too and turns on LOUD.

any help would be great, all of this shit has happened in the course of 2 months.. i just want it fixed for good.

well since its gettting spark and the fuel pump is turing on its not the computer. so it might be the spark plugs maybe the gap it off or they could just be burnt and spark should be hyper white

its a bright white but its a not a huge spark, its just a small arc..

i only mentioned computer b/c i've been told the computer controls the spark and how much on these.. so i dont know.

gap on em is all .045.. it ran fine and just stopped and wont restart.. that is why i think its a sensor or comp.

so you say its getting spark and getting gas, are the injectors pulsing? did u check if engine maybe even got flooded? pull a plug out and see if its wet or dry. if u even got a fuel pressure gauge check pressure, i know that chev trucks need to have good fuel pressure to start and run well. im pretty sure that engine needs to be around 54 to 64 psi. and also do any check engine lights come on while cranking?

its 1 injector and yes its pulsing to each cylinder.. if i pull the coil wire nad crank it and pull the plugs, they are all wet.. i only crank and then let it set so its not flooded.

fuel pressure is good i'm assuming, if i hit the shredder valve on the intake, it will shoot gas to the hood.

the only code stored is low tps voltage, but i dont know how to change the voltage.. the tps is new, same code tho. even after resetting it.. all the tps wires are connected and good.

do u know what voltage your getting outta the tps?

and did u change the tps yourself? im not too sure on blazers but i know some cars the tps is adjustable and thats how u change the voltage comming out of it. more voltage would trick the computer into thinking its WOT, and maybe theres not enough voltage for computer to get readings. but check to see what reading you get off of it.

the tps should be around 5 volts

the helms manual says this TPS is non-adjustable.

no i havent checked the voltage on it, i will have to in the morning.

the thing is, the book also says it will only show low volage is the tps sees less then 1.5 volts for more then 5 seconds.. when it chugged and died, that would be 5 seconds and that is when the code came on..

or your egr valve,if its a high mileage w engine they like to carbon up and the pentle in the valve will stick sometimes.
