Get a MC for a late 70's chevy fullsize pickup. It will bolt right on there. The problem with the master cylinders are the ports at the bottom or waaaaay too damn small. Then the ports for the brakelines are also small as hell, so you have to run like 1/8'' line to them. So with that combo you get no brakes.I no longer have a chrome master cylinder, but I would rather stop than have a shiney MC when I rear end someone.Originally posted by DaGreenMonster



yea i got the one from fatrodder on ebay and yea its a p.o.s i gotta find a new m/c cuz i have hardly any brake pressure

the booster from 2.8 equipted s10's is smaller.. its 8" i think.. it should fit.. i have one on mine, dont know if it fits, my truck came 2.8 i just swapped the 4.3 in.

yea we did the bench bleed, we did every possible thing to try and get pressure, but i barely get any...im just gonna get a new M/C anyway....wheres the best place to get a m/c off a 70's pickup? junkyard?

Go get one at a junk yard, and turn it in as a core for a rebuilt one at the auto store. Or just buy a new one from them. Older Chevys parts are pretty cheap.

i put a metro booster on the '86 that's stockfloored 3.5" with 22's and slid it over 1 1/2" on the firewall.

no need to get a core from a junkyard...kind of a waste of time. With core charge I think I paid $25 for a new MC at auto zone.....the core was like 8 or 10 bucks

get rid of it! just run a master cylinder. i got one off a 84 s10 at a junk yard that came factory wit out power breaks works awsome!

how small is the booster off the late 70s fullsize chevy? i have a 90 S10 BD 3.5 and im goin with 20s MABEY 22's

is it gonna clear?
