Raised Gas Tank Cross Member

Has anyone used the s-10 raised gas tank cross member from fbi or suicide doors. Is there any problems that i might run in to or is it a good fit.

ours is an excellent fit, youll also have to redrill the front 4 bolt-holes 1" higher to raise the front of the tank, since the crossmember only raises the rear.

I Just used my stock one w/ a little fab work

I just Dented the fuck out of mine and it doesnt drag any more lol.

i tried that, jperry, but my track bar had already dented it and i can't bash it in any more.

i installed it along with the thorbecke 5 link and it raised it but not enough to clear the rails... so ya

I just want to keep the tank out of the bed it looks like shit that way even with a fuel cell which is even more expensive than the raised cross member.

Ive seen alot of people install it and the tank still drag...I dunno tho maybe they did things wrong.

Well guys my "dent" idea didnt work cause today I put a mother fucking hole in the rear of my tank. Im so fucked its not even funny.

jperry, go to a junkyard, you should be able to buy a gas tank for $50, i did. I still have mine, but i'm not (and i'm sure you don't) gonna pay for shipping that big mofo to cali..
